A mere sampling of some of the salubrious places we played. The sad thing is that - especially in Auckland - the very buildings that housed these gigs are no longer standing, victims of the 1980's building boom when loads of historic Auckland buildings were torn down to make way for shonky glass towers . Eighteen years after the 1987 stockmarket crash some of the sites are still very expensive empty carparks. The Frampton concert was a cracker. We spent far more on backstage luxuries than we earned for the show and hired a bigger caravan than Frampton. We wanted to feel like he did.
